A P.E.P. is S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Aligned, Results Oriented, and Time Bound) They are standards driven, and built around one or more standards from one or more content areas.

P.E.P.'s are student centered projects that are chosen and created by the students with guidance from the teacher. P.E.P's should be time bound.

What They Are Not. P.E.P's are not a time for completing homework, make-up work, assignments. They are not a time for the teacher to "assign" work to a student, but the teacher should help channel student work.
