How to upload a document

Here are step by step instructions for uploading a Document and adding it to your wiki page.

Step 1: Click on the Upload File link in the Toolbox menu area.

Step 2: Browse for the document you wish to add to your wiki page.

Step 3: Choose the document you wish to add. You do this by selecting the file on your hard drive and then clicking the open button.

Step 4: Your documents name will be displayed in the wiki. In this case it is demo.doc you will want to copy this name exactly as it appears. You will use it to link the docuement into the wiki page you are working on.

Step 5: Now that your document has been uploaded you are now ready to use it on your wiki page. Go to the page you wish to add the picture to and edit the page.

Step 6: To add a link to the document you use the following wiki syntax.

[[media:Demo.doc|Download Demonstration Doucment]]

I use a pipe | to put in the text for the link to the document.

The Pipe | is located above the return key. You must use the shift key while pushing this key.
